Today MSVPOA is taking steps that will prove to be a giant leap forward for our organization. We have eliminated the manager’s position. We are replacing outdated methods with more convenient for our members and save money.

We have opened an office that is open to the members, as required by law. The new office is located at 212 Lane Street in Yreka, Office hours to be determined. Contact us at (530) 775-9895 or MSVPOA26@gmail.com.

The new system includes splitting management responsibilities between three specialized positions. Sharing the duties between three positions means that the tasks will be completed by people who are uniquely qualified to do them, at a cost that is appropriate for the job at hand. It also provides some degree of stability as we are not dependent on one person to keep things going.

A bilingual (Hmong/English) Administrative Assistant will staff the office, accept in- person payments, and answer member questions, direct members to the best person when necessary, and will assist the Administrator as needed.

An Electronic Services Consultant will enable members to opt-in to online services. Members will be to pay online and log into their own portals to see their account information. Members will have the opportunity to receive assessment notices, the Vistascope (newsletter), and voting materials via email. The Consultant will contribute content to the Vistascope and to this website and will assist the board with other written communications as needed.

The Administrator will be responsible for contractor relations: seeking bids, developing contracts, overseeing employee and contractor performance, and will assist the Board with business matters and community projects.
